The city of Ahvaz has played an important role in the course of historical events in different periods. The journey of Imam Reza (a.s.) and after that the trip of some of the children of Imam Musa Kazem (a.s.) to Iran took place through the city of Ahvaz. The presence and establishment of important personalities such as Imam Reza (a.s.) and his honorable brother Ahmed bin Musa (a.s.) known as Shahcheragh in this city shows that it is strategic. The purpose of this research is to investigate the role of Ahvaz city during the journey of Imam Reza (a.s.) and Ahmad bin Musa Shahcheragh. The results of this research show that Imam Reza (a.s.) and his honorable brother Hazrat Shah Chirag entered Iran through the city of Ahvaz during their separate journeys and stayed in this city for some time and moved to Fars from there.
