Abstract
Research goal: This study aims to explain the role, importance, and impact of prayer from the perspective of Imam Reza (PBUH) on people's mental peace and lifestyle in society. Research method: The method of this study is descriptive-analytical and based on library research, by referring to reliable hadith, interpretation, and scientific sources related to the biography and sayings of Imam Reza (PBUH). Findings and conclusion: From Imam Reza's (PBUH) perspective, prayer is the highest form of worship and the most effective way to get closer to God, solve personal and social problems, and ensure both worldly and spiritual happiness. He particularly emphasised performing prayers on time and in congregation, highlighting the revival of this duty through a 'nurturing culture' based on role modelling, encouragement, warning, and imparting insight. Prayer, by fostering a humble connection with God, serves as a source of mental calm, reduces anxiety, and helps prevent psychological harm and social violence. Also, organising life, boosting discipline and punctuality, removing pride and negligence, and creating immunity against sin are among the psychological and moral functions of prayer, emphasised in Razavi teachings. This research shows that promoting a prayer culture based on the Razavi model is not only a factor for personal growth but also lays the groundwork for mental health, social cohesion, and giving meaning to an Islamic lifestyle.
