Abstract
This article aims to introduce the personality and ideas of Imam Ali (AS) from the perspective of French Orientalists. Some scholars have cited events as partiality and bias, relying on credible sources to express the facts and some. The hypothesis of the present paper is that the intellectual space and extent of Islamists' access to Islamic and Shiite sources have had a significant impact on their research. This article uses a descriptive-analytical approach and relies on library resources to answer the question of what image the French Orientalists have presented to their readers of Ali's personality and ideas. Obviously, the study of Orientalists' views on Islamic history is not merely a matter of their early or accelerated rejection or endorsement. To gain understanding.
