Waqf( endowment) throughout the history of Islam has always played a significant role in creating a flourishing civilization and has created a comprehensive movement in the scientific and cultural fields of Islamic societies; This is something that has even influenced and acknowledged Western culture.
The present study, entitled The contribution of endowment and endowment affairs in the growth and scientific and cultural advancement of societies, seeks to explain the need for endowment and the expansion and promotion of related matters in Islamic and human societies, Thus, by analytical-descriptive method and by mentioning the examples of endowment on public benefit centers by Muslims and examining the impact of each on the cultural development and scientific prosperity of societies, we will come to the conclusion that the role of endowment in the development of civilization and Cultural and scientific promotion was ignored. Experience has shown that in any society where philanthropy is dedicated to further development, the cultural development and scientific prosperity of that society has been greater.
