Abstract
Moral teachings are a collection of temperaments and sensual properties of man, from which virtues and vices are branched. The Holy Quran has presented a set of moral values to humanity, both individual and social, and has invited people to these high human values. This requires avoiding vices and acquiring virtues. This article uses the method of library studies and describes in a descriptive-analytical way, moral teachings have been presented in both the Meccan and Madani surahs of the Holy Qur'an. The sharp and severe tone of Sur Makki indicates the rejection of vices and the individualization of morals in the society of that era, but the gentle and mild tone of Sur Madani indicates the acquisition of virtues and the socialization of morals in that time period. Therefore, it can be concluded that observing the principles and values of individual ethics and adhering to them forms the shape and context of social life and plays an important role in the formation and identification of Islamic ethics.
