The Umayyad era is considered one of the most difficult and difficult periods of Shiite life. In this era, the rulers did not refrain from any action in suppressing the Shiites, and on the other hand, the Shiites also resisted and sacrificed their lives for the survival of their school and gave many martyrs, many of whom were not on the battlefields. However, both the dimensions and consequences of the killing of Shiites outside the battlefield are not clear, and no detailed research has been conducted in this field so far. Therefore, the present study seeks to examine two issues: first, to count and re-present some dimensions and the extent of the killing and persecution of Shiites, especially outside the battlefields, and then to address the consequences of their suppression and killing in this era and the harm that has befallen the Shiites. The findings and conclusions of the research show that the massacre of Shiites by the Umayyads had very influential consequences in the political, cultural and economic history of this religion. On the one hand, it was able to help the internal cohesion of the Shiites, but on the other hand, it marginalized them in the social sphere, helped the growth of taqiyyah and esotericism in the cultural sphere, and weakened their economic strength in the economic sphere.
